Mediquations Version 22 for iPhone Submitted to App Store

Tuesday, March 30th, 2010

I have fixed the units issue with Version 21, and have submitted the updated version to the app store:

The following changes are in Version 22:

  • Fixed a units bug that would only appear when ‘override variables’ were set.
  • Adjusted body weight in the BMI calculator to now display in the selected units.

Issue with Mediquations for iPhone Version 21

Tuesday, March 30th, 2010

Thanks to everyone who reported this error to me.

There is a problem with units in the new version of Mediquations, Version 21. I have uploaded a new version that corrects this issue.

This bug only appears if you have any “override global units” set in the Mediquations Settings app. If you do not have any “override global units”, this bug does not affect you.

Here’s a fix in the meantime. For variables with units that you set to “override”, toggle the units buttons, and the correct values will be displayed.

For example, if you have your global units set to US, but you override the weight units to “kg (SI)”, when you select a weight variable, tap “lbs” in the keyboard, then tap “kg” in the keyboard.

Hope this helps. Sorry for the trouble. A new version will hopefully be out on the iPhone app store by the end of the week.

Mediquations for iPhone Version 21 Submitted to App Store

Wednesday, March 24th, 2010

Today, the next version of Mediquations was submitted to the app store.  This version features the biggest interface update since the launch of Mediquations, an inline keypad that allows for entering data without leaving the equation screen.  I am really excited about this update, and hope you enjoy it  too!

Regarding the iPad, Mediquations will run on the iPad.  I am working on a special new interface for an upcoming update.

Mediquations for iPhone Version 20 Submitted to App Store

Sunday, March 14th, 2010

Mediquations for Android Version 20 was submitted to the App Store this morning.

It includes a new equation, the ICH score for intracerebral hemorrhage.  In addition, results are now emailed within the application itself, and Mediquations now remembers your place when you leave the app.

Mediquations has preliminary support for iPhone OS 3.2, which is what the iPad runs on.  In other words, Mediquations should work on the iPad when it is released on April 3rd.  Unfortunately, since I don’t have access to an iPad at this moment, this is all heresay until I get an iPad!

As a sidenote, I am very excited about the new iPad.  It has the ability to be very revolutionary in the healthcare field, and I plan to support it fully in the future!
